Abstract
The study was carried out on the role of E-Commerce in reducing operational cost in an organization. In this study, questionnaire serves as useful guide to the effort of generating data for this study. The survey research design through the administration of questionnaires was used for the study. The population of study consists of students of Lagos State University, Lagos who shop online using deadly.com portal. The Convenient sampling technique was used in selecting 200 students cutting across various faculties of the university from the entire population. From the result of the findings, it was revealed that E-commerce helps to reduce operational cost of an organization, E-commerce helps in improving trade and commerce in Nigeria and There are a significant relationship between ecommerce and reduced operational cost of an organization.
